Brilliant Hotel Software and Hotel Concepts Join Forces!
Leading property management system providers combine resources to provide global hotel clientele with a more comprehensive product offering
After extensive talks between Hotel Concepts and Brilliant Hotel Software, the hotel property management system (PMS) software providers have agreed to join forces. As a first step, the holding company of Hotel Concepts has acquired a share of Brilliant Hotel Software. Both holding companies will be merged into a single entity by the end of 2008. The new holding company will then own and manage Hotel Concepts, Brilliant Hotel Software and RezExchange, a new division of Hotel Concepts being introduced at HITEC 2008 in Austin.
Bas Blommaart, Chairman and CTO of Hotel Concepts, says, "This merger will bring us a far more complete product offering with complementary product lines; Brilliant for large chain-wide installations and Hotel Concepts for hotels demanding centralized high-end systems."
Patrick van der Wardt, Managing Partner of Brilliant, adds, "Brilliant has seen serious growth over the past 15 years, now being the supplier of choice for the top three hotel chains in the world. With this merger, we will have more access to capital to help us grow even more in the near future. The integration of the Brilliant PMS with the Hotel Concepts IDCRS also opens up new markets for smaller branded hotel chains."
Both sales organizations will continue to operate independently, as will product development for Hotel Concepts and Brilliant. The customer support, project delivery and internal services departments will merge in the near future, in order to maximize these valuable resources.
